Front cover anaysis

This is my old front over, I decided to change it around as it didn’t really appeal to the audience and didn’t have the style I was looking for. This would also mean that I had to change everything about it; I changed the colour scheme and gave it a better image. I decided to give it a more punk, raw look to the model, as for a more action as the model would be the main focus of the page, this would also go for all the other pages. Having this kind of style would allow people who are interested in the person or what she looks like would be more appealed towards this front cover as its really basic and has a lot of action while having nothing on it. However this front over is clustered and clouded and not giving the audience anything making it bland.

Dubstep, Eletro Music background

My Chosen Genre is…	My chosen genre of music is Dubstep and Eletro.
When it began?	Dubstep began not to long ago in around 2004 in some clubs in the UK as they would all start with a few artists and some are still around to this day, Now Dubstep and Eletro has been spread to all around the globe making it popular around the world.
Where it began?	It mainly began in clubs in London then spread around the UK and then finally when globe after a few years.
Similar genres?	There are many genres that have sprung of Dubstep and Eletro as they go really popular with the younger generation. Genres like Trap, House and Drum and Bass. As they all have a similar style which would all include a heavy bass beat with a lot of bass drops.
Examples of successful artists/bands in this genre?	A really successful artist in the genre is Skrillex who made it really popular another would be Deadmau5 who does more Eletro and also has become a huge hit in the media and around the world.
Record labels in this genre?	There are a number of online labels like MonsterCat but there are also others like Never Say Die Record, Who are a real label company who sigh in Dubstep artists to it.
Kind of people its popular with?	The genre is many popular with a younger generation as it was introduced not to long ago, however the age range for it would be 30 and below as they would be the people who would of listened to it first in the clubs and with the heavy bass it is more sex driven, as it has been proven that the heavy bass impacts on hormones in both mail and female bodies.
Associated fashion trends?	Dubstep and Eletro doesn't really have a fashion which is used to it as each DJ and artist has their own style in which people might follow.

I choice to use these as an example as it would allow me have a large amount of text in a small space and also have the image be the main focus which is the focus of the whole magazine. This would also mean that I can have a wide shot of an action, which would allow the person to act out and be different from most images on other magazines, this would really challenge the convention of the genre in this way.

I choice to use these content pages as an example as they all have something similar in that all have something going on. By this i mean that they are busy and have something that would keep the persons eye on the page if its the text or if it would be the images of the people whore would be doing something different, I would follow this kind of style with my image as i would have the image be busy and have the text just calm it down a bit allowing everything to balance out on the page.

I choice these front covers as i would follow these in most of my conventions as they all follow some kind of way i want to do my front cover, The action shots that some of these magazines have would be used in which i would use as well as some of there simple style with a less text and more on the persons style and the way they are done, by this i mean that the person is the main focus and would sell the front cover. This would also allow me to have more crazy action shots and allow the person to be themselves.

These are the photos of the magazine, They were edited and also used to make sure that they fit in my target audience, This would also allow me to know what the audience needs and what kind of shots i would need.

Double Page spread Flat plans

These two flat plans are designed like this as they are simple and also able to get the information right away and know what it is about and know what it is about as it would let you get the information you are seeking out right away and know how to deal with it. This would attract an audience to read it as the image would be the main focus and have the person be a huge focus for everything on the page. The text would be limited and have a just the article about the person.

The content pages are also simple as they would allow you to get your information quickly, it was also meant to just be simply as well as have a lot more detail, this would allow the person who is reading it, This would also have the person be able to see what are the key features of the magazine. This would mean that it would they are able to get to the stories they want. The style of the it is simple and easy to read information.

Front cover flat plan

This flat plan is mean to show how something simple would be able to achieve the same kind of level as a more complex magazine. This said my genre of magazine is dubstep,house and others as they are similar in music and can relate to other genres as themselves. With it being simple means that it would affect the person, by this i mean it wouldn't confuse the person with to much detail and it wouldn't be bland enough to not intreat people.
